Self Erecting Bin

A 3-minute animation of a mobile unit for loading dump trucks with freshly mixed asphalt.  The animation starts with the unit in its collapsed state being pulled to a work site. Its hydraulic system is activated, lifting the bin and integrated drag conveyor into operating position. Rendered at 720p HD resolution using global illumination.

Belt Sampler

A 20-second "turn-table" style animation of a ingenious little device that periodically scoops a "shovel" full of gravel from off of a conveyor belt.  Though not shown, the gravel falls into a chute and collected by the AGU (Automatic Gradation Unit) below for quality-control testing.

Automatic Gradation Unit

A 1 minute animation showing a unit that collects gravel that is periodically scooped off of a conveyor belt and tests it composition by shifting it through six filters, each having a progressively smaller screen size.  The weight of the material collected by each screen is individually measured after squentially being dumped into the square, conical chute
